More rumors about the iPhone 5 have surfaced with claims that it will be "thinner" and "lighter" than the iPhone 4 with an 8 megapixel camera and Qualcomm processors on board.
These rumors have been tossed about before, but this time the information comes fromt the generaly reliable sources at the Wall Street Journal.
At the very least, this information leads us to believe that the design of the new model will not resemble the iPhone 4 as closely as many previous rumors have suggested.
The information regarding the 8 megapixel camera and Qualcomm chipset are in-line with most of the previous reports.
The WSJ also notes that Apple has placed orders to component suppliers for a 3Q launch.
That lines up with a report released yesterday that revealed Pegatron has taken 15 million orders iPhone 5 units slated for shipment in September.
