T-Mobile has officially announced that its powerhouse Android HTC Sensation 4G will be launching on June 15 for $199.99 (after a $50 mail-in rebate).
You might also be able to score one as early as June 12 if you happen to live near one of T-Mobile's 'select Walmart locations'.
The HTC Sensation 4G is one of the first in the Android dual-core superphone class with features like a 4-inch qHD display, 1.2GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video recording, front facing camera, Android 2.3 with HTC Sense 3.0 and, of course, super fast HSPA+ 4G connectivity.
So it would seem that the Sensation will be the first serious contender in the dual-core market given the half baked status of the Optimus 2X.
The Sensation is also going to arrive a few weeks ahead of its biggest competitor in the Samsung Galaxy S2.
Samsung's offering features similar specs with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 8 megapixel camera with 1080p recording, 1.2 GHz processor, integrated NFC chip and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) on board.
