The Motrola DROID X2, a follow up to the popular DROID X, is rumored to be hitting Verizon Wireless on May 26.
According to leaked promo materials obtained by Droid-Life, orders for the DROID X2 will commence on May 19 and launch in-store on May 26.
If you recall, the DROID X2 promises to be a dual-core beast of a phone.
The rumored X2 spec sheet highlights a 4.3-inch qHD display, a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 proecessor, 8 megapixel camera, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of ROM, an HDMI-out port and Android 2.2 on board.
However, the Android version coud be bumped up to 2.3 (Gingerbread) at launch.
Connectivity features include Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n.
Previous rumors also put the price at a fairly standard $199.99, though we won't know for sure until the device launches.
Even if this date isn't correct, we have to believe that the DROID X2 is very close to release.
