Sprint has announced the Google Nexus S 4G will be available in stores and online starting on May 8 for $199.99.
If you recall, pre-ordering began at Best Buy way back in the beginning of April, so a firm release date is long overdue.
Like the Nexus S on T-Mobile, The Nexus S 4G is built by Samsung, but that "4G" moniker gives you a big hint at the major difference between the two devices.
The big benefit of the Nexus S 4G is that it runs on Sprint's high-speed WiMAX network.
Other features include a 4-inch Super-AMOLED display, 1GHz Hummingbird processor, 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) on board.
Like all Nexus S phones, the UI on the Nexus S 4G is pure Google, so don't expect any manufacturer overlays from Samsung.
