Spring is looking like a good time for Android fans on Verizon Wireless. According to a leaked roadmap, the next few months will be choc-full of Android releases.
According to a Phandroid tipster, the month of April will see the release of the 4G Samsung DROID Charge (formerly the Stealth) on April 7th, the long-awaited Sony Ericsson Xperia Play gaming smartphone a week later on the 14th and the HTC Droid Incredible 2 on the 28th.
DROID Incredible 2 specs:
- 4-inch Super LCD WVGA display
- 1GHz Qualcomm MSM 8655 processor
- 4GB of on-board storage
- 768MB of RAM
- 8-megapixel rear-facing camera
- 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera
- 1450mAh battery
- Running on Gingerbread
Xperia Play specs:
- Android 2.3,
- 4-inch LCD
- Mobile Hotspot
- 5MP camera, front facing camera
- Slide-out game controller
- 1 GHz processor
May is looking like a great month too with the release of the 4G-enabled LG Revolution on May 5th followed by the 4G Motorola DROID Bionic, Motorola DROID X2 and, interestingly enough, the Samsung Galaxy 2 later in the month. Indeed, the ubiquitous Samsung Galaxy appears to have a sequel on the way.
