DigiTimes, which has a mixed-bag history of accuracy with rumors, is reporting that Honeycomb will be released sometime in March. Honeycomb is the code name for Android 3.0, which adds tablet support to the already popular mobile OS.
According to the report:
“MSI is also prepared to sell an Nvidia Tegra 2-based model in April or May after Google releases Android 3.0 in March.”
While this isn’t much to go on, it is the first indication of a narrowed down timeframe of when we can expect to see Honeycomb.
We are excited to see Android tablets with a version of the OS that is actually tailored to maximize the capabilities of larger screen and faster processors. 2011 is shaping up to be an interesting year.
