Google gets personal with the latest Voice Search update

Published on Dec 14, 2010

One thing Google has boasted as an advantage of Android has been the capability an accurate voice search method built into Android by default.

Users running Android 2.2 can now visit the Android Market and download an update to the Voice Search application which will include the ability to personalize and learn your speech patterns.  With these enhanced capabilities, the end user will see greater accuracy of their device’s speech recognition as it learns and analyzes your speech.  The update also includes enhancements to improve the speed over 3G and EDGE connections.

Currently, the update is only available for English in the US with plans to roll out the update to other countries and languages in the future.  Scan the barcode to the right to download the latest update, or simply search the Android Market for Voice Search.  More information available on the Google Mobile Blog.
