Samsung Galaxy Tab getting Honeycomb?

At an event yesterday, Samsung India purportedly revealed that the manufacturer's Galaxy Tab device would in fact receive updates to not only Gingerbread (presumably Android 2.3), but also to Honeycomb (Android 3.0), Samsung Hub reports.
This is an interesting new development indeed, considering that on September 2nd -- the day the Galaxy Tab was officially announced -- Samsung itself confirmed that the Galaxy Tab would not be supported with updates past Gingerbread, and that it had other tablets in the works that would land in 2011, Honeycomb in tow.
No dates were quoted for a the launch of either OS version of course, but with the conflicting information abound, take the entire idea of the Tab even getting Honeycomb with a sizeable grain of salt.
