Microsoft Mobility Solutions Manager Greg Milligan was interviewed by RGBFilter at an event in Toronto recently, revealing some very interesting details about how Windows Phone 7 will interact with the Xbox.
Milligan spoke about how Windows Phone 7 will bring real-time phone to console gaming, using the Wi-Fi connectivity in the home.
The console will connect with the handset in many ways and for many applications, but among the more interesting concepts was the ability to unlock settings, areas, features, etc. of the game running on the console, by playing and winning a mini-game on the phone.
More cool functionality said to be in the works was the phone's ability to see game invites placed right in to the UI.
Milligan said that while there wasn't any other social integration planned (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, etc.), they would absolutely support third-party applications.
