A new report suggests that Apple and Verizon Wireless are still ironing out terms for a CDMA iPhone
Earlier reports suggest that Verizon's iPhone will move away from the external antenna design found on the iPhone 4

While we're still no closer to solid proof of an iPhone model for Verizon Wireless than we were two years ago, new information suggests Apple and Verizon are in the final stages of a deal, Fortune reports.
An agreement to release a CDMA version of the iPhone on Verizon Wireless' network would mark the end of AT&T's iPhone exclusivity in the U.S.
In a note to clients, Kaufman Bros. analyst Shawn Wu rehashes a good deal of old information, such as AT&T's admission in an SEC filing that several exclusivity deals would soon come to an end.
Wu goes on to reveal some new information, however:
From our understanding, the Verizon negotiations are not finalized with important details still being ironed out, including technology and economics. We think it is premature to rule out T-Mobile or Sprint (who also uses CDMA but WiMAX for 4G). In addition, there is the possibility of multiple U.S. carriers being signed.
While this statement contradicts earlier reports that an iPhone for Verizon Wireless is a done deal, it does jibe with reports that Verizon would not be alone in ushering in the end of AT&T's iPhone exclusivity.
Wu does not provide any details regarding pricing or a potential release date for a Verizon iPhone.
