We have heard rumors about a Chrome OS tablet from Google for over a year now, but Download Squad has it on good authority that November 26th, Black Friday, is the date it will finally be available to the masses.

The rumors also back up what we have heard in the past - namely that the device will be manufactured by HTC and will launch on Verizon Wireless.

Download Squad also claims that the device will be "based on NVidia's Tegra 2 platform and sport a 1280x720 multitouch display, 2GB of RAM, minimum 32GB SSD, WiFi/Bluetooth/3G connectivity, GPS, webcam, and possibly expandable storage via a multi-card reader."

Whether that information comes from a tipster or pure speculation is unclear.

Needless to say, a Black Friday launch would generate plenty of attention - and if the specs hold up that attention would be warranted.

Verizon Wireless could also take things a step further and offer the device on contract at a subsidized price, making it an even more enticing rival to the iPad.
