Fierce Wireless is back again with the U.S. wireless carrier rankings, as reported by Strategy Analytics, for the first quarter of the year, and not surprisingly, Verizon Wireless remains on top by millions of subscribers.
The report shows several of the usual metrics that we judge and value our beloved carriers by, and while there aren't really any shockers, there are a couple of interesting points to be deducted.
The churn over at Sprint (3rd), T-Mobile (4th) and MetroPCS (5th) is more than double that of Verizon or AT&T.
Also, the service revenue of number two AT&T is more than that of Sprint, T-Mobile, MetroPCS and US Cellular combined, numbers three through six on the list, respectively. Then of course, you have Verizon sitting about $1 billion over them, but who's counting, right?
