Many a BlackBerry user is breathing a sigh of relief today as those old purported images of BlackBerry OS 6.0 have just been debunked. New images have surfaced courtesy of Boy Genius Report and it looks like we're finally getting a glimpse of the real deal.
These new screen shots seem much more likely to be the logical evolution of the BlackBerry UI. They aren't a large departure from RIM's current setup, but if they were, that just wouldn't be the company we know and love.
Another important note is the inclusion (finally) of RIM's new Webkit-based browser with tab support and, of all things -- multitouch.
The media player has also received a welcome update, and apparently is much more intuitive than the current setup. BGR also discusses some interesting tweaks to the UI, function-wise, that sound like they will bring some much needed ease-of-use that many feel has been lacking up until now. Unfortunately, BGR was unable to obtain screen shots of every new aspect of the UI.
