When Apple said late April, Apple meant late April.
The world's largest mobile devices company has just announced that its 3G-equipped iPad will become available in U.S. Apple stores on Friday, April 30th at 5:00 p.m.
U.S. residents who pre-ordered the iPad Wi-Fi + 3G will receive their shipments on April 30th as well.
Apple's iPad Wi-Fi + 3G is available in three models, a 16GB version for $629, a 32GB version for $729 and a 64GB version for $829.
3G connectivity will be available with no contract and it will utilize AT&T's 3G network. iPad Wi-Fi + 3G owners will be able to purchase data plans on a month-to-month basis, with two options available: $14.99 for 250MB of data or $29.99 for unlimited data.
AT&T and Apple both state that the $29.99 plan will afford users truly unlimited data, unlike smartphone data plans that typically have a soft limit of 5GB.
