Microsoft's KIN ONE and KIN TWO get official

Microsoft has officially announced the KIN ONE and KIN TWO, affectionately known previously as Project Pink.
No longer bearing the Turtle and Pure codenames, the KIN ONE and KIN TWO bring no real surprises today. Microsoft considers Windows Phone 7 a general smartphone users' platform, while the KIN is targeted specifically at a very focused market: the young and socially-connected.
The UI seems a bit more intuitive than we previously anticipated from the first pictures that displayed it. With "The Loop", users can stay current on everything that's going on with all their most important contacts at a glance, and with "The Spot", users can easily share pictures, video, Web pages and other content with their social circles.
Verizon is indeed the exclusive partner in the U.S., and as no surprise to anyone, is looking to capitalize on the sheer necessity for 3G with the platform.
Microsoft has not stated a specific release date or pricing yet, but the KIN ONE and KIN TWO will be available from Verizon Wireless sometime in May.
Internationally, GSM models of the KIN ONE and KIN TWO will be released by Vodafone some time this fall.
More information is available on Microsoft's KIN website.
