
Motorola DROID update to Android 2.1 could begin tomorrow

Verizon Wireless has posted a full change log for the Motorola DROID’s Android 2.1 update

Motorola and Verizon Wireless have been toying with us over the DROID update to Android 2.1 for the last couple of months, but it seems as though it's actually about to happen. According to Android Central, the update was approved today and will be rolled out in batches of 250,000 starting tomorrow, March 18th.
What's more, Verizon has posted the complete change log for the update:
Enhancements:
- Pinch-to-zoom is now available when using the browser, Gallery, and
Google Maps. - New Weather and News application plus widget.
- The Weather and News app pulls the information you want from the
Web and brings it to your fingertips. You get weekly and hourly
weather forecasts based on your location, and news headlines.

- Whenever a text-entry box appears, simply tap the microphone
icon on the virtual keyboard and speak.

- Personalized suggestions and synchronized starring with

making it easy to search for places you've searched
for before.

Expect the over-the-air updates to start at around noon (EDT) tomorrow. Presumably, additional batches of 250,000 will roll out each day thereafter. If you aren't part of the first batch and you simply cannot wait, keep an eye out for a manual update link.
