According to Laptop Mag, T-Mobile will launch the HTC HD2 on March 24th for $199.99 on contract and $499.99 without -- a date and price that falls right in line with previous rumors. As expected, the Windows Mobile 6.5 device will not be upgradeable to Windows Phone 7 Series.

It's also important to point out that Engadget has received similar information, adding that a press event announcing the device is set to go down on March 16th.

With a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM, a 5 megapixel camera and a gigantic 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen, there is no doubt that the HD2 has the potential to be a real business and entertainment powerhouse. However, potential customers have to decide if they are better off waiting until the end of the year when the new crop of Windows Phone 7 Series handsets are set to roll out.
