VoiceCentral Black Swan, a newly available Web app, brings a native feel back to Google Voice on the iPhone
A new option for Google Voice on the iPhone comes in the form of the new Black Swan Web app

The long-awaited VoiceCentral Black Swan Web app for Apple's iPhone is finally out of private beta and available to all Google Voice users.
While nothing can match the usability of a native application with push notification support, iPhone users have long since accepted the fact that Apple won't be allowing native Google Voice applications on the iPhone any time soon. Despite similar apps from companies such as Vonage and fring, Apple has an undeniable and firm stance against Google's virtual telco service.
VoiceCentral Black Swan, released today by mobile developer Riverturn, is a Google Voice application based on the Web -- similar to Google's own mobile website for Google Voice -- but with the feel of a native application. While push notifications are obviously not supported, Black Swan contains nearly all other functionality Google Voice users could hope for.
Features include call initiation via a built-in keypad or a contact list, Voicemail history and playback, SMS history and composition, call logs and a few more bells and whistles.
The app is available in two versions: a free ad-supported version and a premium version that includes added features such as inbox search, contact photo support and the ability to adjust Do Not Disturb settings. VoiceCentral Black Swan's premium service is currently available for $6 per year, on sale from the equally affordable $10 per year.
