Microsoft's Project Pink has been a staple in the rumor mill for what seems like forever. Rumored to be the representation of what a "Zune Phone" would consist of, Project Pink has remained pretty elusive. Then, when Windows Phone 7 Series was introduced, looking like a Zune HD cousin, some were left confused as to what was left for Project Pink.

As of late, however, more details and leaked information are sparking up those Pink conversations again, like the Turtle ad campaign for Verizon Wireless.

Now, Gizmodo has obtained some new pictures of Microsoft's Pure, which unlike the Turtle, hasn't seen much of the spotlight up to this point. They've also got some purported first-hand feedback from someone who's handled the mysterious device, and the combo is interesting to say the least.

The interface is said to be similar to Windows Phone 7 Series, but definitely not the same. The tipster's personal opinion places it as "better than Android" and very intuitive. There appear to be slots on what we're assuming is a home screen for things such as phone, music, email and even RSS feeds. The Pure also features a 480 x 320 pixel display and its OS, while still mysterious, is based on Windows CE (just like Windows Phone 7 Series).

While the source didn't have any information on release dates, we'd think both the Pure and the Turtle would land around the same time, supposedly toward the end of April. Then again, the leaked Verizon ad campaign only features the Turtle, so we can't be certain.
