The HTC Legend, a rumored successor to the Hero, gets shown off with a sweet aluminum shell and classic Sense UI
Published on Feb 8, 2010
Not long after we got our first look at the Incredible, the team at Engadget has revealed a second new Android phone from HTC dubbed "Legend".
The phone looks similar to initial renders found in the rumored HTC 2010 roadmap. It's still a lot like a Hero, but with a gorgeous aluminum shell and an optical trackpad as opposed to one of those wonky trackballs. It's also clearly running the good ol' Sense UI.
Beyond that, no new information has been leaked regarding specs, but previous rumors have it running a Qualcomm MSM7227 processor with a 3.2-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 256MB RAM, 512MB of internal memory and a 5 megapixel camera.
The Legend is certainly not among the most powerful Android phones, but if these specs are true, it could come in at a more affordable price. According to the roadmap, the release could come as early as March.
