Phone running out of juice? Never mind -- crack open a can of Coke and you'll soon be up and chatting again...
That, believe it or not, is the bizarre prospect offered up by the latest concept phone from Nokia: a mobile that is powered by an over-marketed fizzy drink.
Chinese designer Daizi Zheng describes this as a "bio battery". You pour in the Coke and the sugary enzymes within it are mixed with carbohydrate to generate electricity to power the phone.
It's safe, green, recyclable and the only downside is you have to carry a crate of Coca-Cola around with you in a backpack to ensure you can keep the phone fueled.

Pay attention, here comes the science bit...
"The Bio battery is an ecologically-friendly energy that generates electricity from carbohydrates (currently sugar) and utilizes enzymes as the catalyst," says Zheng.
"The concept is to replace the traditional battery to create a pollution-free environment," he adds.
