According to sources user can look forward to Sony launching 2 devices at next week's Mobile World Congress, and one of them has been spied ahead of the event in Barcelona.
The Xperia U is expected to launch with a dual-core 1GHz CPU, 3.5-inch qHD display operating at a resolution of 480 x 854 and will also feature a 5-megapixel autofocus primary camera, and also appears to buck the recent trend by offering the user a replaceable battery! Rejoice!
The device looks similar to other upcoming offerings from the newly consolidated Sony Mobile Communications, with a minimal aesthetic and the odd-looking translucent strip running through the device, which Sony aficionados claim will glow different colours depending on calls, messages and other alerts.
The images were leaked to the guys over at Xperia Blog yesterday, and show the new device sitting beside the significantly larger Xperia S, which is set to become the company's new flagship when it goes on sale next month.
