Apple releases iOS 5.0.1 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
The 44.6MB iOS OTA fixes bugs, adds multitasking gestures, and improves voice recognition, yet some users seems to still be suffering from poor battery life
The update was supposed to fix battery issues, among other things

Apple has released an update to iOS 5 that addressed issues many users were having with poor battery performance. The Cupertino-based company had been testing the update for a while now, even reaching out to affected users and having them install the potential fix to test its effectiveness.
The update is now available to all users through iTunes and will also be made available for download as an OTA update very soon. In addition to addressing battery life issues, 5.0.1 brings new gestures for multitasking to the first-generation iPad and improves voice recognition.
Despite fixing some issues and making several additions, some users on the Apple Forums, however, are still reporting that they are still experiencing some battery issues, as well as other small glitches.
At this point, it remains to be seen if iOS 5.0.1 is at fault, or if it is a bigger hardware issue. We probably won't know more for a few days. Apple released iOS 5 on October 12th and reports of significantly decreased battery life surfaced almost immediately, so I tend to think software is the culprit.
Are you suffering from any iOS 5.0.1 related battery issues? Or has the update fixed your battery life completely?
