The Lumia 710 is a dead sexy entry-level handset

It was just last week that Nokia's Lumia 710 passed through the FCC with T-Mobile AWS 3G bands, and now today enthusisast site TmoNews reports that the device is indeed launching on T-Mobile USA this January.

After making their own inquiries, TMoNews was able to confirm that the Nokia Lumia 710, code-named the Sword, would be coming to T-Mobile in in both black and white colours. Other than that, that's all they really confirmed. No launch date or pricing has been revealed as of yet.

Up until now, there have been numerous rumours of the Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia’s low-end Windows Phone 7.5 handset, coming to T-Mobile USA for sometime, but this new report and the recent FCC filing are the srongest indicators thus far.

As far as specs go, the Lumia 710 is packing a 3.7-inch 800x480 ClearBlack LCD, 1.4GHz processor, and a 1,300mAh battery. The device of course runs Windows Phone 7.5 Mango and has a briliant 5-megapixel camera capable of 720p video capture.

While this may not be the most bleeding edge feature list we've ever seen in a Windows Phone device, the 710 looks like a respectable entry-level handset, especially if T-Mobile and Nokia can price it aggressively.

What do you make of the 710? Could the Nokia name and Windows Phone OS on the 710 make for a compelling combination? Is Windows Phones something your excited about?
