Images and preliminary specs for the rumored Verizon Motorola Droid 4 have reportedly been leaked. The photos and specs are no doubt a welcomed sight to those waiting to get their hands on the first high-end LTE QWERTY.
According to a report from enthusiast site Droid-Life, highlights include Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, a 4-inch HD display, and an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording capability. The Droid 4 is also rumored to have a front-facing camera for video chat and an HDMI-out port.
Rounding out the tentative specs are LTE connectivity, a spacious five-row keyboard (with number row included), Wifi, Bluetooth, and a non-removable battery like that found on the Atrix 2 and the Droid RAZR.
No word on when the Droid 4 will land on store shelves, but don't expect it to arrive soon. The Droid line usually launches during the summer, and we expect the same with this. This is probably ust an early prototype.
That being said, this device will no doubt hit sometime in 2012, so starting saving your pennies now.
