The HTC HD2 can be used as a 3G modem for your PC or laptop when there is no Wi-Fi hotspot available.

It's relatively easy to set up the HTC HD2 as a 3G modem, but make sure you have an unlimited data deal before you run up a massive phone bill.

Download and install (if you haven't done so already) Windows Mobile Device Center or Microsoft ActiveSync version 4.5 (or later) onto your PC - they should be on the CD that came with your HTC HD2
Connect your HTC HD2 to your PC with a USB cable
When your PC detects that your phone is connected, select Internet Sharing in the Windows Mobile Device Center program
Select Done and you should be able to surf the internet using your phone's data connection.
When you've finished using your HTC HD2 as a modem, simple disconnect the USB cable and the connection will be terminated.
