The HTC HD2 can be used as a 3G modem for your PC or laptop when there is no Wi-Fi hotspot available.
It's relatively easy to set up the HTC HD2 as a 3G modem, but make sure you have an unlimited data deal before you run up a massive phone bill.
- Download and install (if you haven't done so already) Windows Mobile Device Center or Microsoft ActiveSync version 4.5 (or later) onto your PC - they should be on the CD that came with your HTC HD2
- Connect your HTC HD2 to your PC with a USB cable
- When your PC detects that your phone is connected, select Internet Sharing in the Windows Mobile Device Center program
- Select Done and you should be able to surf the internet using your phone's data connection.
- When you've finished using your HTC HD2 as a modem, simple disconnect the USB cable and the connection will be terminated.
